Summer Camping Vacations.
It's everyones favorite time of the year. Summer! The kids are out of school and the days are long and warm. It's the perfect time to take your family on a fun filled camping vacation. Camping is fun because it offers a getaway from big city life and gets people back in touch with nature. Here are some tips for your next camping vacation.

- Research. Before selecting a campground, make sure it has all the features you want or need. Common amenities would be bathrooms/showers, swimming on premise or nearby, electric and water (for RVer's), fishing, cabin rentals, playgrounds and game areas. Most campgrounds are pet friendly, but ask to be sure. You might also want to check if the campground charges for car passes, overnight parking or additional guests.
- Make Reservations! If you're planning on going camping, it's usually a good idea to have reservations before hand. Holidays like Memorial Day or Fourth Of July reservations are a must. Many campgrounds sell out during these highly celebrated holidays.
- Pack Smart. Make sure that you have all of your campside needs. Don't forget firewood and lighter fluid for the evenings campfire. Pack cooking utensils, pots and pans, kitchen needs like forks, knives, spoons, plates and drinking cups. Make sure that you pack plenty of clothes (including a light jacket, just in case.) towels, bathing suits and shoes. Don't forget about sleeping bags, pillows and the tent if you're tent camping.
- Pack Your Coolers. Fill your coolers with food for your trip. Hot dogs, hamburgers, steaks, and chicken are camping favorites. Don't forget your adult beverages, marshmallows and smore ingredients!
Make your camping holiday one that's memorable. Be sure to bring your camera and video recorder to capture the fun on film.
I hope these suggestions are helpful to you the next time you decide to take a summer camping vacation!
