Robert Pattinson On Playing Edward Cullen
Robert Pattinson might not have a love interest in real life, but that hasn't prevented the British born actor from "feeling the love" as his Twilight character, vampire Edward Cullen.
In the Twilight series, Edward is lovestruck by Bella Swan, played by Kristen Stewart. Although rumors swirled that Robert and Kristen were romantically involved off-set, these rumors proved false and Robert had to draw on his acting ability to play his role.
RPattz used a bit of common sense. He told J-14, "If you are in love with someone, you can't see any flaw in the other person. So I finally figured out I didn't have to play the most beautiful man on the planet, but play a man in love."
Pre-production for New Moon, the second movie in the Twilight saga, has started in Vancouver. Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart reprise their respective roles as Edward Cullen and Bella Swan. Taylor Lautner returns as a beefed up Jacob Black and newcomer, Dakota Fanning will play the part of Jane, an Italian Volturi vampire.
New Moon is set for a November 20, 2009 US theatrical release.
