David Blaine Begins Upside Down Stunt In New York City

Illusionist David Blaine has begun his latest stunt in New York City. In this trick, Blaine is attempting to stay suspended 44 feet above the
Wollman ice rink in Central Park without a safety net.

If Blaine completes the mission, he'll hang suspended upside down for three days and two nights. He was hoisted into position on Monday.

Doctors have warned Blaine that he could suffer from blood clots or injury to his internal organs as a result of it. He won't eat or sleep for the
time he's suspended four stories above the earth. He'll drink using a straw and will use a catheter to pass liquid.

Blaine will be able to free one leg
to bring his head to a horizontal position for short periods of time.

Blaine stated that this is the most difficult trick he's ever embarked on, but he'll use "sheer willpower" to complete the mission.
