Jack Osbourne Didn't Want To Live Anymore
Jack Osbourne took the news in 2002 that his mother Sharon Osbourne had colon cancer very hard. He was devastated to think of his beloved mum being in such pain.
Osbourne attempted to kill himself using OxyContin and Valium.
"I started getting suicidal," Osbourne told In Touch. "I was just doing loads of drugs and drinking. I was miserable."
Jack, who is now 23, first ran into drug problems at the tender age of 13. By Easter 2003, he had hit bottom.
"I disappeared for the long weekend," h said. "When I came back, I knew I needed help. I was like 'Okay, I will do this.'"
Jack, who has reunited with the rest of the clan for the new reality show Osbournes Reloaded, which will debut tomorrow, got some advice from his father.
"He said 'If you want to go to treatment, I'll go to treatment as well.'"
Jack went through the rehab and found it to be no fun at all.
"At first I hated it," he said.
After awhile, his attitude changed.
"You start to get a bit more perspective," he said. "It kinds of wakes you up, and you're like 'Why not try it?"
Jack Osbourne has managed to maintain his sobriety for quite some time now.
"A year passed and then two and then three and now it's nearly six," he said. "I'm just going to keep doing what I've been doing and hopefully not drink. I don't ever want to come back to rehab again."
