Matthew And Laura Eaton Brag About Shoplifting Scheme On Dr. Phil - Investigated By The Feds
SAN MARCO, Ca., Apr.3 (TOTI) --

Life used to be easy for Matthew and Laura Eaton before they appeared on the Dr. Phil show.

Obviously not the valedictorians of their class, the San Marco, California couple were guests on McGraw's talk show and bragged about shoplifting toys and reselling the 'hot' merchandise on the popular auction website, Ebay.

Now they are under Federal investigation for their crime ring that they admitted involved their children and made them around $10,000.00 monthly. The Eatons documented their shoplifting using a video camera so that any doubt surrounding their crimes couldn't be disputed.

Laura Eaton said on video, "I didn't really want to go on this trip, but we needed the money right now. It’s well planned. We mapped out 20 [stores], but depending on how the kids get, we'll stay today and tomorrow and probably come home on Sunday."

While Matthew makes his rounds at the stores, Laura sits in the car with their three children. "I'm a little nervous just waiting for him, not knowing what’s going to go on, but I try to keep my eye out if I see any police officers," she says. "I just call him, and he stops what he does."

Matthew Eaton said, "It’s easy money."

After a busy morning stealing, Laura eyeballed their booty for the day. "We are at our third store for the morning. I think so far we have about $4,000 or $5,000 worth of stuff."

The Eaton's haven't been arrested or charged for any crime and their lawyer in the case wouldn't comment on the case.
