My Must See Summer Movie List

This summer looks like it's going to have a lot of good movies. I have a slant toward comedies and films that have cool special effects. Here is my short list of movies I'm looking forward to seeing this summer.

Ratatouille. Animated movies tap into the kid in me. This Pixar film is due out in theaters on June 29th and is about a rat that wants to become a chef. Sounds like a fun filled caper that only a rat could stir up!

Knocked Up. With 40 Year Old Virgin star Seth Rogen, a lovable loser type and Katherine Heigl as Alison Scott, I think this movie should be pretty entertaining while touching on the topic of unplanned pregnancy. This movie releases On June 1, 2007.

Balls Of Fury This movie stars one of my favorite actors. Chistopher Walken. Based on the competitive game of Ping Pong I can imagine how funny this will be. It's rated PG-13 and releases August 31, 2007.

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer The Marvel Universe is uber cool, especially all of these years later. From previews I've watched in theaters this flick will be chock full of action. It's not yet rated and opens June 15, 2007.

Superbad This movie just looks plain funny and Seth Rogen reigns supreme. The film stars Jonah Hill who also appeared for as the kid that "just wanted to bring home the boots." from the "I Sell Your Stuff On E-Bay" Store on 40 Year old Virgin. This movie is another late summer film. It's rated R and opens on August 17, 2007.

It won't be long before the summer heat kicks in and a nice air conditioned theater is a great retreat. What movies are you planning on seeing this summer?
