Adam Lambert Mad World Gets A Standing Ovation From Simon - American Idol
It's a rare thing when an American Idol contestant earns a standing ovation from judge Simon Cowell, but 27 year old Adam Lambert did just that on last night's show.
Lambert performed Mad World, the song's original artist was the popular 1980's band, Tears For Fears.

Lambert is currently in the Top 8. The next American Idol airs tonight on Fox at 9 PM, 8 PM Central time and is an "elimination" episode.
