Nick Adenhart Killed In Automobile Accident
FULLERTON, Ca., Apr.9 (TOTI) --

Nick Adenhart, 22, was among three killed after being involved in an automobile accident in Fullerton, California early Thursday morning.

Nick Adenhart was a pitcher for the Anaheim Angels. According to reports, Adenhart was traveling in a silver Mistubishi with three others when their vehicle was struck by a red van that ran a red light. The crash involved three vehicles.

Two people were pronounced dead at the scene and another person passed away after being transported to a local hospital.

The driver of the red van fled the scene on foot and was apprehended. He was charged with felony hit-and-run.

A fourth victim remains hospitalized in critical condition.

Nick Adenhart pitched at Wednesday's game against the Oakland Athletics. Although Adenhart pitched a strong game, the Angels lost with a final score of 4-6.

The MLB has yet to release an official statement on Adenhart's untimely passing.
