John McCain Proposes $300 Million Reward For Super Battery
John McCain wants innovation for alternative fuel
John McCain has made an interesting proposal, which will be unveiled later today in detail, that would pay an inventor $300,000,000 for a super battery to improve the range of electric cars.
"In the quest for alternatives to oil, our government has thrown around enough money subsidizing special interests and excusing failure," said excerpts from McCain's prepared text. "From now on, we will encourage heroic efforts in engineering, and we will reward the greatest success," said McCain.
With gas prices at an all-time high, alternative fuel is becoming a major issue in this year's Presidential debate.
McCain seemed to be pointing the finger at both parties when he said, "It feels the same today, because the unwise policies of our government have left America's energy future in the control of others."
Here's updated video where McCain explains his proposal in detail.
