Snakes On A Plane Cancel Flights
MELBOURNE, AU. Apr.16 (TOTI) --

Two Qantas Air flights were canceled after four baby pythons that were being shipped in the cargo area of the plane escaped from their container and went missing.

There were a total of 14 non-venomous snakes being shipped in a bag that was placed into a foam box that had air holes for ventilation.

Four baby pythons being transported were unaccounted for and caused the cancellation of two flights, a Qantas official confirmed. A search of the plane yielded no results in finding the 6 inch long reptiles.

Passengers that were affected by the flight cancellations were diverted to other flights.

Qantas Air is unsure whether the snakes escaped as passengers departed the plane and fumigated the aircraft as a precaution before it was returned to service on Wednesday.
