Selena Gomez Loves Her Parents
Sixteen can be an awkward age for both parents and teenagers, but Wizards of Waverly Place star Selena Gomez gets along with her parents just fine.
Gomez told Tiger Beat magazine, "I always go to my mom for advice. She's taught me how to to not take things too personally."
Selena Gomez lives with her mother and stepfather and they play a big role in her life. She continued,
"My mom and stepdad are my two biggest supporters. But they also keep me very grounded. Coming out to L.A. And having all these people say 'Yes, you're perfect' - It was my parents' job to be there and say, 'No you're not. You still have to do your chores!'"
When Selena isn't busy working, she loves to spend quality time with her family at home. "We'll go rent movies and buy a bunch of junk food and hang out in our sweatpants." Selena confessed.
In addition to her Disney original TV series, Selena stars in the movie The Princess Protection Program with her best friend, Demi Lovato and Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie.Both films are set for a 2009 release.
