Megan McAllister Defends Fiancee Philip Markoff
BOSTON, Ma. Apr.21 (TOTI) --

Megan McAllister, the fiancee of accused killer, Philip Markoff defended his innocence on Good Morning America saying officials had arrested the wrong man.

According to ABC network, McAllister wrote, "Unfortunately, you were given wrong information as was the public, All I have to say to you is Philip is a beautiful person inside and out and could not hurt a fly!"

Markoff, a 22 year old medical student was arrested on Monday in connection with two separate crimes in Boston. Julissa Brissman, 26, was shot to death in her hotel room on April 14, 2009 and another victim robbed at gunpoint on April 10, 2009.

Both victims were believed to have offered massage services on Craigslist.com, an online classified advertising website.

Philip Markoff was arrested after hotel security footage showing a 'person of interest' was broadcast on local news.

Despite McAllister's claims, Suffolk district attorney Daniel Conley is convinced that Markoff played a part in the crimes. Conley said, "Our top priority is holding Philip Markoff accountable as a predator and strengthening the case against him."

Markoff was arraigned in Boston Municipal Court earlier today and is being held without bond.
