Tropical Storm - Hurricane Kyle - Maine Could Be In Kyle's Path
In what has been a very active storm season for the Atlantic, Kyle, the eleventh named tropical storm of 2008, has just passed over
Bermuda and could become a hurricane that threatens the shores of Maine.

A hurricane watch has been issued from Stonington to Eastport, Maine. A tropical storm watch is in effect for the coast of Maine
south of Stonington.

At 11:00 AM EDT today, TS Kyle was located about 280 miles west of Bermuda. The island remains under a tropical storm warning.
Kyle is moving in a north-northwest direction at about 15 miles per hour with maximum sustained winds of around 70 miles per hour.

The National Weather Service has stated that Kyle could impact Eastern New England within the next 36 hours.

Residents are urged to follow local media for updates and news concerning tropical storm Kyle.
