SEATTLE, Sept. 27 (UPI) --
Kenji Johjima's three-run homer capped a six-run first inning Saturday and led the Seattle Mariners to 7-3 win against Oakland.
Vladimir Balentien knocked in two runs with first-inning single. Miguel Cairo also had two RBI and Yuniesky Betancourt had three of the eight hits in the Mariners' first two-game winning streak since Aug. 31-Sept. 1.
Winning pitcher Ryan Rowland-Smith (5-3) yielded three earned runs and nine hits in 6 2/3 innings.
Reliever Sean Green record his first career save. He became the 10th Mariners reliever to earn a save this season, equaling a club record set in the 1985 season.
Oakland's Cliff Pennington and Travis Buck both had two hits and one RBI. Jack Cust knocked in a run, while Daric Barton and Kurt Suzuki added two hits apiece in the Athletics' fourth loss in a row.
Losing pitcher Greg Smith (7-16) surrendered six runs -- five earned -- and five hits in seven innings.
