Bailout Bill Posted To financialservices.house.gov
The unprecedented bailout bill of the American financial system can be viewed at Financialservices.house.gov. Be prepared to spend some time reading it, the bill encompasses over 100 pages.

Nancy Pelosi says the bill, which is called the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008, is online "for all Americans to see."

The fact the bill is available for viewing online gives an indication of just how unpopular it really is. It's rare for the entire text of a bill to be available so quickly, but Democratic leaders hope it will help with the "transparency."

Voting on the bill takes place this week. The House of Representatives will likely vote today and the Senate will vote on Wednesday.

"When this bill passes and is implemented all of the transactions related to this legislation will be on the Internet within 48 hours," according to Nancy Pelosi.

"And that represents change," she said "That transparency, that oversight will be very important to the health of our economy."
