LONDON, May 4 (UPI) --
British soul singer Amy Winehouse was briefly hospitalized and treated for dehydration after she collapsed on the island of St. Lucia, her spokesman said.
The BBC reported the 25-year-old Grammy Award winner spent a night in the hospital for observation after fainting at her vacation home. She reportedly had been "running around" with a group of children before she collapsed.
"(Her doctors told her) she was dehydrated and needed to drink more water," her publicist told the BBC.
Winehouse, who has battled drug addiction and various related health issues in recent years, is scheduled to perform at the St. Lucia jazz festival this week.
