Evelyn Keyes passed away on July 4, 2008. She was 91.

We're saddened to report Evelyn Keyes passed away at her California home on July 4, 2008. She suffered from uterine cancer and was 91.

Evelyn Keyes was an accomplished actress that starred in numerous movies throughout her career. She played the part of Suellen in Gone With The Wind, other roles included parts in Here Comes Mr. Jordan, The Jolson Story and Mrs. Mike.

Keyes was married four times. Her first husband Barton Bainbridge was an alcoholic that fatally shot himself while the couple was separated. She was briefly married to Charles Vidor. Her third and fourth husbands were John Huston and bandleader Artie Shaw. Keyes adopted a Mexican child named Pablo while she was married to John Huston. All of her relationships ended in divorce.

Keyes said "I was always interested in the man of the moment, and there were many such moments".
