ANAHEIM, Calif., May 7 (UPI) --
Homers by Aaron Hill, Vernon Wells and Lyle Overbay accounted for eight runs Wednesday and carried Toronto to a 13-1 win over the Los Angeles Angels.
Hill got things going with a two-run shot in the first and Wells then highlighted a five-run second with a three-run blast.
Toronto eventually piled up 15 hits and coasted to its 20th victory of the season. The Blue Jays are the first team in the American League to reach that plateau this season.
Overbay's three-run homer came in the eighth, during which Toronto scored five times.
Roy Halladay (6-1) picked up the easy victory, allowing a run on six hits over eight innings.
Anthony Ortega (0-2) retired only four batters to start the game and was charged with six runs and six hits.
The Angels had a three-game winning streak snapped.
