Jennifer Aniston - Courtney Cox Rift Over Brad Pitt
Even though the men have moved through her life over the years, Jennifer Aniston has had the friendship of Courtney Cox to depend on. Now even that long time relationship may be threatened, according to a new report in Life and Style. Courtney Cox and Jennifer Aniston have suffered a major falling out, and there's a familiar theme at the the center of the dispute.
After Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston ended their marriage so Pitt could pursue his love affair with Mr and Mrs Smith co-star Angelina Jolie, Courtney Cox and her husband David Arquette went to bat for Jen. Now that might be changing.
Courtney Cox and David Arquette hung out with Brad Pitt on May 3 at a dinner party held by a mutual friend. Then they met backstage at the Wiltern Theater in LA where Chris Cornell was performing. The freeze that once existed between the trio has obviously thawed since the bad old days when Brad and Jen's divorce was still fresh in everyone's mind.
One person who never lets go of the past, though, is Jennifer Aniston. When she learned of the burgeoning friendship between Cox, Arquette, and Pitt, she turned decidedly chilly towards her old Friends castmate Cox.
Some sources aren't too concerned about the friends. They think that Aniston and Cox have been through thick and thin over the years and their friendship will remain strong. They feel a reunion is likely after Jen returns to LA after filming The Baster in New York City.
"She and Courtney can make up for lost time," said an insider. "If they can do that before Jen has to leave town again for her next project, things won't get better. They'll get much, much worse."
