Ali Lohan Is Poised To Do What Lindsay Couldn't

Lindsay Lohan is world famous for her acting abilities, of that there can be no question. But her foray into the music business hasn't been so fortuitious. In fact, she's been plagued by poor sales and negative critical reviews both times she attempted to record her own CD.

Younger sister Ali Lohan is attempting to establish a recording career of her own. One thing she has on her side that her sister didn't is a reality television show that's watched by millions of people and showcases her singing talent.

Whether Ali really has what it takes to become a major talent remains to be seen. So far her recording sessions have been a mish-mosh of styles, and recent episodes of "Living Lohan" have shown more conflict in her studio than triumphs.

Ali, for her part, isn't lacking confidence. She recently compared herself to platinum superstar Rihanna, and sought to avoid comparisons with teen wunderkind Miley Cyrus.

"Miley is really good. But I have different music than her. It's a different vibe - it's definitely a different vibe. Mine is more hip-hop. Kind of like Rihanna."

Lindsay Lohan is also in the studio, working on her third album. Ali has a built in audience and is making her fame as a singer, unlike Lindsay who was famous from movie parts and made the transition to singer.

Here's a YouTube video of Ali Lohan singing "All The Way Around." It's clear she has singing talent. With good enough production, it's very possible that Ali Lohan will do quite well in the music industry, something her big sis hasn't been able to do, at least so far.
