Voluntary Recall Of Jitterbug Cell Phones Issued
If you or someone you love uses a Jitterbug cell phone, it's time to check your model number to be sure it isn't one of 160,000 mobile phones affected by a voluntary recall.

Samsung recently announced a voluntary recall on their SPH-a110 and SPH-a120 models with standard key pads and version BB14 software. The phones might fail to connect to 911 if they're out of calling range.

Jitterbug and Samsung are offering a free software upgrade to consumers that use the Jitterbug, a basic phone that’s easy to use and offers an inexpensive calling plan. The mobile phone is targeted to an older demographic for light use or emergency calling.
