Google Wave
The Google Wave is here and it's already sweeping across the Internet like its' namesake.
"One of the best times of my life was in 2005, just after the launch of Google Maps, when developers started doing crazy things with the APIs," said Lars Rasmussen, who heads the Google Maps team along with brother Jen.
Right now access to the Google Wave website is restricted, although most can access the page.
The basics about Google wave aren't too complicated. In order for a wave to be started, two users begin something similar to an instant-message session. This session can later be archived as a conversation. At this point other users can then be invited to join each wave or conversation, extending it. Even more importanly, there's even a "playback" feature that will allow anyone to track the process of the conversation.
