CANNES, France, May 29 (TOTI) --

Robert Pattinson has been very tough to pin down when it comes to who he's dating. But a series of pictures in the newest edition of Life and Style seem to shed some light on the issue.

Rob Pattinson, 23, wearing a dark suit and tie is smoking cigarettes and laughing with LA blond Erika Dutra. The two seem to be having the time of their lives, and enjoying a night on the town.

Earlier that night on May 21, Pattinson auctioned off two kisses for $28,000 at the amfAR Cinema Against Aids benefit in Cannes. Robert didn't charge Dutra for the same benefit later that evening.

Robert rolled into the Eden Roc Bar and chatted up Dutra, who he had been introduced to by a mutual friend.

"Erika was introduced to Robert by a mutual friend at the beginning of the night," an eyewitness said. "And from that point on he was smitten with her."

They left the bar together at 3:30am and continued their night.

"Robert took pictures of her, and they were even seen kissing," said the onlooker. "There was serious chemistry between them, and they looked like they were having an amazing time."

Lots of other ladies tried to get Robert Pattinson's attention that evening, but he focused on Erika Dutra the whole time.

"There were a ton of girls trying to get Robert's attention that night, but he didn't bother with anyone except Erika." said the first witness. "She was with Robert all night and left with him."

Robert Pattinson has never ruled out the idea of love at first sight, as a recent comment by him indicates.

"It's absolutely possible that you can meet someone on the street and suddenly fall in love with that person," said Robert. "That often happens to me."

Now the big question is: has it happened to him again, this time with Erika Dutra?
