Nadya Suleman - Octomom Coming To Reality TV
We can file this one in the "it was only a matter of time" compartment. Despite denying such a deal was in the offing for months, reps for Octomom Nadya Suleman have now announced she will be doing a reality TV show.
"[Nadya and the producers] are hoping to have an arrangement whereby several events in the children's lives would be filmed in a documentary series," Suleman's attorney Jeff Czech told Us.
The deal came after weeks of negotiations between Suleman, Czech, and multiple media companies who were interested in airing her amazing story of multiple birth.
Czech revealed that a company known as Eyeworks was moving ahead with the deal and that the show would be a "quasi reality" show, presumably featuring Nadya Suleman and her octuplets.
"They might be several shows aired during a year. There are all kinds of possibilities. It really depends on what the networks want," he said.
When Us asked Czech how much Suleman would be paid for her participation in the show, he declined to say, citing confidentiality concerns.
"Her television program will not be like the Jon and Kate Plus 8 show," he said. "[Nadya] is looking forward to providing her side of the story."
I'm sure whatever the amount is, it will be quite a windfall for Nadya Suleman, who has struggled financially under the burden of having 14 children.
Of course one wonders how the children will be affected by this. Just like Jon and Kate Gosselin's brood of eight children, they did not ask to live their life in the limelight. But now they will be forced to.
Will you watch the new Nadya Suleman reality TV show?
