WASHINGTON, Oct. 1 (UPI) --
A group demonstrated in the Senate offices of U.S. presidential candidates John McCain and Barack Obama, protesting their support of a Wall Street bailout.
About 10 members of the Code Pink anti-war group first visited McCain's office Wednesday, lying on the floor and across office furniture in the Arizona Republican's reception area and chanting "Bailout over my dead body," The Hill reported.
The Code Pink members, singing "No bailout," then marched to Obama's office, the Washington publication said.
The protesters ended their demonstration after U.S. Capitol Police warned that they would be arrested for disorderly conduct.
Both Obama, the U.S. senator from Illinois, and McCain expressed support for a Senate plan to stabilize the U.S. financial markets.
