Prosecution: Teen planned mother's killing

SAN DIEGO, Oct. 2 (UPI) --

A 15-year-old San Diego girl who allegedly killed her own mother had the homicide on her personal to-do list, prosecutors allege in court documents.

While Heather D'Aoust has pleaded innocent to charges she killed her 56-year-old mother, Rebecca, prosecutors allege the teenager planned out how she would kill her parents in a to-do list on her personal cell phone, the San Diego Union-Tribune said Thursday.

Prosecutors allege in court records that Heather had planned on killing both of her parents with a hammer, hide their bodies and make it appear a Christian hate group was responsible for the killings.

Prosecutors say in the San Diego Superior Court documents that a search of the teen's computer allegedly found someone had conducted online searches for "lethal household things" and "parents murdered by child."

D'Aoust is accused of killing her mother with a hammer on May 25, following a familial dispute over a recent runaway attempt by the teen and her parents' decision to have her undergo psychotherapy treatment.

The Union-Tribune said court records state that D-Aoust was adopted by her parents when she was only 3 years old and came from parents who were allegedly schizophrenic and manic-depressive.
