Angelina Jolie And Brad Pitt Can't Get Along
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were supposed to keep things cool for Angie's 34th birthday party. The day started out great for Angelina. Pitt flew in from Los Angeles on June 4 and greeted Jolie with a surprise party. The kids even baked Angelina a cake for the special occasion. But what should have been a joyous celebration ended up souring as Pitt and Jolie fought.
"Brad made an effort to be with Angie," a source told In Touch. "He was really hoping they would get along and enjoy themselves."
The hoped for tranquility never materialized. Instead, fighting began over Jennifer Aniston, an issue that is becoming larger every day in the lives of Brangelina.
"Things were going fine, and then Angie started accusing Brad of meeting Jen in LA," said an associate. "It turned into a massive blowup, which left Brad more disillusioned than before."
Pitt didn't hang out to argue for long.
"He told her straight out that he's had enough and was out of there," another friend told In Touch.
Pitt was also spotted four days later visiting Angelina Jolie on the set of Salt in Washington, but the friend says it's just for show.
"Angelina has cried a lot of tears over Brad," said an insider.
There is one big issue that has to be settled before Pitt and Jolie break up for good.
"This split has been simmering for months, and unless something drastic happens, it's going to boil over very soon. The only thing keeping Brad from officially walking out is their six kids."
The big problem lately is Jennifer Aniston, who Pitt started talking to again. Angelina Jolie is not happy about that development and has no interest in competing with Aniston for Pitt's attention.
"She has a terrible jealous streak and can't stand Brad even looking at a woman that seems attractive in any way," said the friend. "And starting up a friendship with Jen is particularly offensive to her. It's a shame that a woman as beautiful as Angelina is so incredibly insecure."
In Touch reported last month that Jolie freaked out on Pitt because of his renewed relationship with Jennifer Aniston which included text messages and phone calls. Now they're saying the problem goes back much further than that.
"They've had fights because she's thought he's been flirting with waitresses, other actresses, and even members of their staff," said the friend. Last year when they lived together in the south of France: "They were all playing in the garden and Brad accidentally hosed down one of the girls who was working for them, soaking her clothes right though. Angelina was livid. She took him straight inside and accused him of doing it on purpose.”
