Jailed NBA ref to enter halfway house

PENSACOLA, Fla., June 17 (UPI) --

Former NBA referee Tim Donaghy will enter a halfway house in Tampa, Fla., after being released from a federal prison, sources say.

Without naming its sources, the St. Petersburg (Fla.) Times reported Donaghy would be released Wednesday from a federal prison camp in Pensacola, Fla., to a Tampa halfway house, after serving a 15-month sentence on two federal conspiracy charges.

Donaghy pleaded guilty in 2007 to charges he used information not available to the public to bet on NBA games, the newspaper said.
