WNBA Fight Video Involving Candace Parker

Candace Parker, WNBA player for the Los Angeles Sparks was involved in an on-court brawl.

The WNBA game between the Los Angeles Sparks and the Detroit Shock got heated in the last five seconds of the game.

Candace Parker was involved in a fight with Cheryl Ford of the Detroit Shock. When all was said and done, three players were ejected from the game along with Detroit assistant coach Rick Mahorn for their behavior.

Los Angeles won the game 84-81 in Auburn Hills, Michigan.

Leading up to the fight, Ford fouled Parker on a free throw. On the Spark's next possession of the ball, Parker got tangled up with Detroit's Plenette Pierson, and fell to the ground. As she was getting up Pierson intentionally ran into her. This is when it started.

Candace Parker threw a punch at Pierson, and was tackled by Detroit's Deanna Nolan. Teammates and coaches for both teams rushed the court and assistant coach Rick Mahorn struck Lisa Leslie, knocking her to the ground. DeLisha Milton-Jones then struck and shoved Rick Mahorn

Of the fight, Parker said, "To be honest, I don't recall exactly what happened, I'll have to watch the tape." She led the Sparks with 21 points.

Parker, Milton-Jones, Pierson and Mahorn were all ejected from the game. Cheryl Ford was taken off the court in a wheelchair after sustaining a sprained knee in the melee. Her condition is unknown.
