MLB: Chicago White Sox 10, LA Dodgers 7

CHICAGO, June 25 (UPI) --

Josh Fields put Chicago in front with the third of his team's six home runs Wednesday, pacing the White Sox to a 10-7 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Fields hit two of the homers and all of Chicago's runs came on long balls.

Alexei Ramirez started the onslaught with a solo shot in the first, after which the Dodgers came back to take a 3-1 lead in the second.

Jermaine Dye tied things up with a two-run blast in the third and Fields gave the White Sox the lead with a two-run homer in the fourth.

Chicago then came up with three home runs in the fifth in the span of six batters -- a solo shot by Paul Konerko, a three-run blast by Jayson Nix and a solo effort from Fields that gave the White Sox a 10-3 advantage.

The run support gave Gavin Floyd (5-5) an easy win. He allowed three runs on six hits in six innings. The loss went to Randy Wolf (3-3), who was touched for three of the homers in 3 1/3.

Matt Kemp brought the Dodgers within three in the eighth with a three-run homer. Bobby Jenks worked a perfect ninth for his 18th save.
