Keeping track of all the gossip that surrounds Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie is never easy. If you took all of the words that are written about these two in one week and made them into a ladder it would easily reach the moon. The recent gossip concerning Brangelina breaks down into several key areas.
1) Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are close to breakup. Ever since the introduction of "Nannygate" the rumors about the imminent demise of Pitt and Jolie have been on the rise. If you believe that Pitt has a wandering eye and Jolie is a vindictive and insecure vixen, then you can easily believe these rumors. Frankly I'd lay even money that Pitt is indeed a womanizer, or at the very least is flirty when he's been drinking. I also would assume that Jolie is not someone who takes kindly to betrayal. If Pitt really has been hitting on the ladies, all of the elements are in place for a final meeting in divorce court.
2) Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston are hooking up, spelling doom for Brangelina, This rumor has persisted for weeks now, but doesn't seem particularly compelling. After all, Pitt and Aniston have been divorced for years and Aniston couldn't even bring herself to speak about her relationship with Pitt until very recently. It also seems likely that Pitt would be interested in "fresh meat" rather than dipping his toe into a river he explored many times previously.
Variations on these two themes have been consistent for the last month or so in the major tabloids. Now the emphasis seems to be shifting from the idea of an Aniston and Pitt re-union and is instead heading in the direction of a permanent Pitt/Jolie rift that can be chalked up to Jolie being angry at Pitt and Brad not caring enough to work on the marriage.
Life and Style decided to throw a whole new rumor in the mix with their most recent cover story, titled "Why Angelina's Hiding The Twins." Although this title at first seems to make a sly sexual reference to Jolie's breasts, the story is actually about how Vivienne and Knox, the couple's biological twins are in poor health and are being kept out of the prying eye of the public.
According to Life and Style, the twins have been spotted in public only once in 146 days. They introduce the supposition that this is due to the poor health of the children.
"They're both hypersensitive," an insider told the tabloid. "Knox was having trouble holding down his food. He spits up nearly every meal."
Vivienne has environmental and food allergies, according to the same source.
"Right now she's on a lactose- and gluten-free diet, and she's still underweight," said the source.
The story cites several more possible theories about the children's frail health. Of course it could also easily be argued that Knox and Vivienne are being kept out of the public's eye because they're so young and it's a privacy issue. The couple's other four children have been photographed much more often in recent months.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have been living in Long Island but they are expected to move on soon. Pitt was scheduled to begin filming Moneyball this summer in Los Angeles, but the production has been shut down due to problems with the screenplay. Now Pitt and Jolie are considering whether to take time off in the south of France, or what move they'll make next.
According to Life and Style, photographs of Knox and Vivienne will be made available soon. They say Pitt will take them himself and sell them to the highest bidder. Then he will donate the money to charity.
One thing is certain, Jolie is protective of her kids.
"Angelina would do anything to make sure her kids are happy and healthy," said an insider. "She'd go to the ends of the Earth for them."
