BANJA LUKA, Bosnia-Herzegovina, July 1 (UPI) --
Police in Bosnia-Herzegovina said Wednesday they have arrested a 39-year-old Bosnian Serb on suspicion he killed 200 Bosnian Muslims in 1992.
Bosnia's special police unit for investigation and protection arrested Sasa Zecevic at the Prijedor police station in northwestern Bosnia where he worked as a traffic officer, the news agency SRNA reported.
Bosnia's prosecutors office charged Zecevic with crimes against humanity and war crimes when he reportedly took part in the massacre of 200 Muslim civilians on Mount Vlasic near Prijedor on Aug. 21, 1992, during the Bosnian war.
Zecevic was arrested in the presence of the head of the police station and an official of the European Union's police mission.
Officers of the Bosnian special investigation police team searched Zecevic's Prijedor home where they found documents related to the 1992-95 war period.
