Drew Peterson Today Show Interview

Drew Peterson appeared on the Today Show and discussed recent reports of wiretaps that implicate his guilt in the disappearance of his fourth wife, Stacy Peterson.

Nearly a year has passed since Stacy Peterson, the fourth wife of Drew Peterson, went missing. Drew Peterson is a former Bolingbook, Illinois Police Sargeant and remains the primary suspect in her disappearance, although she (or her remains) have never been found.

The death of Peterson's third wife, Kathleen Savio, has also fueled suspicion that Drew Peterson was involved with Stacy's unexplained disappearance. Kathleen was found dead in the couple's bathtub in 2004.

News recently surfaced that former friends of Drew Peterson's were wired to extract information or a confession about the role he played in Stacy's death or disappearance, and he appeared on the Today Show with his lawyer to defend himself against the accusations.

Mr. Peterson maintains his innocence and said that the persons that allegedly wore wiretaps did so for financial gain to solve their own money problems. He also stated that he believes that Stacy Peterson is still alive, although his somewhat cocky attitude might lead some to believe otherwise.

For now, the case is still open and Peterson hasn't been charged with a crime. The death of his third wife is being re-investigated and has now been ruled a homicide.
