Colby Rasmus slugged a two-run homer, and Yadier Molina and Joe Thurston added two RBI each for St. Louis Sunday in a 10-1 win over the Cincinnati Reds.

Rasmus hit a shot to right field in the first inning. St. Louis kept up the attack and had an 8-0 advantage after five.

Chris Carpenter (6-3) pitched seven innings for the win, yielding five hits and a run with five strikeouts. Carpenter also hit an RBI single.

Jay Bruce tripled in Cincinnati's run.

Bronson Arroyo (8-8) took the loss. Arroyo was battered for 11 hits and eight runs before departing in the sixth inning.
