Tim Pawlenty Emerges As Top Republican VP Candidate
Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty appears to be emerging as a top contender for the vice Presidential candidate on John McCain's ticket. McCain told a group of supporters that they would "like Pawlenty" and he took time to compliment him yesterday.
Pawlenty appeared on Hannity and Colmes but refused to answer such simple questions like if he had been vetted or does he want the job. Pawlenty said adding to the speculation was not something he wanted to contribute to.
Pawlenty said he was a great admirer of John McCain. He took exception to Barack Obama, saying that the Democratic candidate is short on substance, even if he's been promoting a well crafted message.
Republicans have been eager to discuss who John McCain's running mate will be. With Obama garnering so much media attention with his overseas trip, placing some emphasis back on McCain seems to be the basic strategy for the Republicans.
