Brett Favre To Seek Re-Instatement

Brett Favre may show up for the Green Bay Packers training camp, despite many indications that the team would prefer he stayed retired. The Packers had been planning on retiring his jersey during the first game of the season, but that plan is currently on-hold.

Brett Favre's future considered

Up until now, Favre hasn't applied for re-instatement, which has further clouded the waters concerning his possible return.

At this point, many Packers fans have apparently lost interest in him returning to the team. Many fans seem to support the team, who has decided to move on without Favre.

Adam Schefter of the NFL Network said thatFavre told Thompson of his plans during a telephone conversation on Thursday to ask for re-instatement. He's supposed to fax a letter to NFL home offices today, in order to be considered for re-instatement. Green Bay's training camp is set to open this weekend.
