Testimony has concluded in the trial of Myanmar dissident Aung San Suu Kyi, charged with violating the terms of her home confinement, judges said.

The judges said Friday closing arguments will be heard July 24, CNN reported. The last defense witness testified Friday.

Suu Kyi, who has spent more than half of the past two decades in house arrest or some other form of confinement, faces five years in prison if she is convicted. The military government of the country formerly known as Burma says she broke the law when she gave temporary shelter to John Yettaw, a U.S. admirer who got to her house by swimming across a lake.

Yettaw faces the same sentence.

The trial is being held in Insein Prison in Yangon, formerly Rangoon.
