Guinea army on alert after attack threats: junta

CONAKRY (AFP) --

Guinea's army was in a state of alert on Sunday after the country's junta said troops had massed along the border and were preparing to invade, a statement on national television said.

Troops had massed along the country's borders with Guinea-Bissau, Liberia and Senegal and were "ready to attack" Guinea, the statement from the junta said.
