JERUSALEM, July 14 (UPI) --
An American white supremacist declared a fugitive by the Federal Bureau of Investigation was arrested in a Tel Aviv apartment, police officials said.
Micky Louis Mayon, 32, an alleged senior member of the Ku Klux Klan and one of America's 100 Most Wanted fugitives, was found hiding in a Tel Aviv apartment late Monday, police officials said.
A special unit belonging to the National Immigration Authorities performed the arrest after an intelligence tip-off concerning Mayon's whereabouts was received, Maariv said.
Mayon who fled the United States to Israel in November 2007, is wanted for a number of crimes, including torching a vehicle belonging to a federal judge, and charges of reckless endangering and disorderly conduct, reports said.
He is being held pending the arrival of U.S. marshals to accompany him back to the United States, police officials said.
