Tropical Storm - Hurricane Marco Expected To Make Landfall Today
Tropical storm Marco is expected to make landfall sometime today, according to reports at weather.gov">Weather.gov .

Unlike a number of hurricanes in the 2008 season, tropical storm Marco threatens the shores of Mexico.

A tropical storm warning and hurricane watch are in effect from Cabo Rojo southward to Veracruz, Mexico. Hurricane conditions are possible
for these areas with Marco on track to make landfall later today.

At 7 AM CDT, tropical storm Marco was located around 80 miles southeast of Tuxpan, Mexico and was traveling in a west-northwest
direction at about 8 miles an hour with maximum sustained winds of 65 miles an hour with higher gusts.

Tropical storm Marco could bring heavy rains to areas under a storm and/or hurricane watch. Rains could bring 2-6 inches of rain to these areas.

Residents are urged to listen to local media for updates and developments on Hurricane Marco.
