Sara Evans went through a messy divorce in 2006, and learned to deal with it the best way she could. For her, it was avoiding the fact the divorce was a public issue, especially for the benefit of her children. She did this by avoiding newspapers and television that may have had accounts of her divorce.

To this day, Sara Evans refuses to discuss her divorce.



"I won't talk about the divorce now because, you know, your children are gonna watch TV," she said. "They're gonna read magazines," she said. "The whole effort is to protect them because they're already going through enough without the whole world knowing."

Not dwelling on the issue has certainly worked for Evans. She's moved on and re-married radio host Jay Barker.
