Cristiano Ronaldo has not been tearing up Los Angeles, if you believe Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson. He said such reports were "a load of rubbish."
Ferguson even claims that Manchester United has someone traveling with Ronaldo, a chaperone, if you will.

"He was always scheduled to have this time off in Los Angeles. There was no harm in going there," said Ferguson.
"He's doing some commercial things. I think he's signed up with an LA-based company. I've someone there with him."
One thing that's clear from the pictures of Cristiano Ronaldo's trip is that the winger has been hobbled badly by his injured leg. Ferguson says his cast will be removed in 8 days time.
Ferguson even said he thinks all of the global media attention Ronaldo is getting is good for the footballer.
"That's the case with him. At 23 Cristiano is reaching that stage where his maturity, personality and the presence he has on the world stage should help him."
