Senator Edward Kennedy Finished With Tumor Treatment
Ted Kennedy is done with the tumor treatment phase of his ongoing battle with cancer. Sources close to Kennedy said he's in a Massachusetts hospital and he has completed the first phase of his treatment.

According to WCVB-TV in Boston, Kennedy has been undergoing treatment for the past six weeks. The treatment at Massachusetts General Hospital has been mainly chemotherapy.
Kennedy's treatment for the glioma tumor has been ongoing since he first learned about the problem.
He was initially treated at Duke University Medical Center, where he had surgery on June 2nd 2008 aimed at reducing the size of the tumor.
Most experts agree that Senator Kennedy is in for a tough battle, given the general outcome for patients with the same issue. Some experts say patients live 3 to 5 years on average.
