SHANGHAI, July 17 (UPI) --
Rio Tinto, the multinational mining and resources group, denied charges of bribery and espionage lodged by China against four staffers, the company said Friday.
Rio called the claims "wholly without foundation" and that it stood by its employees, members of the company's iron ore team in China.
They were arrested July 5 during the protracted iron ore negotiations and are being held in Shanghai, The Australian said.
