Woman nets $177,000 from lottery tickets

CHARLESTON, W.Va., July 17 (UPI) --

A Charleston, W.Va., resident estimates she has collected $177,000 from scratch-off lottery tickets in two years.

Brenda Bailey told the Charleston Daily Mail she won 10 large sums from the tickets. In nine cases, she won the top prize.

The most she won was $100,000. She once won $50,000, but her winnings were smaller from the other tickets.

Her first win was $3,000, which she won from a ticket she found in a parking lot. She couldn't find the person who bought the ticket. Her latest win was $7,000.

Bailey paid off credit card debt and remodeled her kitchen which had been damaged from a leaking roof, she said. She also used funds for veterinary care for a dog with congestive heart failure and bought her husband a new truck.
