MLB: Philadelphia 6, Florida 5 (12 inn.)

MIAMI, July 18 (UPI) --

Chase Utley and Jayson Werth produced RBI singles in the 12th inning Friday that vaulted the Philadelphia Phillies to a 6-5 win over Florida.

Utley hit a two-run homer in the first but the Phillies let a three-run lead get away in the late innings before winning their seventh straight. They increased their lead in the National League East to six games over both the Marlins and Atlanta.

Burke Badenhop (5-4) took the mound for his second inning of work in the 12th but gave up a leadoff single to Jimmy Rollins.

Shane Victorino bunted Rollins to second and Rollins scored on Utley's base hit up the middle. Utley moved to second on a ground out by Ryan Howard and, after Paul Bako was walked intentionally, Werth singled Utley home.

The second run of the inning proved vital when Brad Lidge put two runners on in the bottom half of the inning and threw a wild pitch that allowed a run to score. Lidge, however, got Dan Uggla to ground out with the tying run on third and collected his 19th save.

Clay Condrey (5-2) worked the bottom of the 11th to get the win.
