Lickliter leads U.S. Bank Championship

MILWAUKEE, July 18 (UPI) --

Frank Lickliter shot a 7-under 63 Saturday to take a one-stroke lead after the third round of the U.S. Bank Championship in Milwaukee.

Lickliter finished 54 holes at 11-under 199. Overnight leader Greg Chalmers of Australia posted a 69 Saturday and dropped into second place at 10-under 200.

Jeff Maggert (66) and Chris Riley (68) are tied in third place at 201.

Lickliter has two PGA Tour victories -- 2001 at the TPC at Avenel and the 2003 Chrysler Classic of Tucson. Both came after he held a piece of the 54-hole lead.

"It's a combination of a lot of things," Lickliter said of his play this week. "Part of it is just having fun, enjoying hitting good golf shots, enjoying focusing and enjoying making birdies. I just tried to make every putt I could."

Brendon de Jonge (66), John Mallinger (66), Jeff Quinney (67) and Jeff Klauk (69) are tied fifth place 202.
