Indonesia - Police have unearthed the remains of six more bodies believed to be the victims of an alleged serial killer. This finding brings the number of victims that allegedly died at his hands to 11.
On July 11, 2008 thirty year old Verry Henyanksyah confessed to killing his lover. Henyanksyah also goes by by the name "Ryan" and is a Koran recital teacher that admitted to dismembering and stuffing the torso, neck, legs and head of Herry Santoso into a piece of luggage and leaving it on the roadside in southern Jakarta.
After his confession, authorities searched the backyard of Henyanksyah's parents home in Jombang and discovered the remains of four people. A second search conducted on Monday lead to six more corpses, including the remains of a woman and her three year old child.
Police are planning on digging up the home's septic tank, since they believe there could be even more victims hidden inside.
Henyanksyah's motive is unknown and officials think that he could have been killing people for as long as a year leading up to his confession and arrest.
Indonesia has executed four other serial killers in the last month. One executed killer was responsible for the deaths of 42 women; he considered himself a "shaman" and drank the victim's saliva in a black magic ceremony that was intended to increase his magic powers.
Police are urging people in the area to report people that had contact with Verry Henyanksyah and then went missing to authorities to help find and ID victims.
