Crude oil prices down slightly
NEW YORK, Oct. 8 (UPI) --
Crude oil prices fell to less than $90 per barrel Wednesday on the New York Mercantile Exchange as troubled economies point to diminished demand.
Crude oil prices lost 0.96 cents overnight to $89.10 per barrel. Heating oil prices dropped 0.0407 cents to $2.465 per gallon. Reformulated blendstock gasoline fell 0.0294 cents to $2.034 per gallon. Natural gas prices fell 0.073 cents to $6.695 per million British thermal units.
At the pump, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline was $3.447 Friday, down from Tuesday's $3.48 a gallon, AAA said.
