Britney Spears is going to trial after her lawyers rejected a plea bargain in her misdemeanor driving without a license case. The pop singer, who suddenly looks hot again, rejected a plea agreement that would have seen her pay a $150 fine and serve one year's worth of probation.



Her lawyer, J. Michael Flanagan, says that Spears, 26, is being unfairly targeted because she's a celebrity known for not wearing her panties. Okay, I added the last part. He just said she's a celebrity and is being treated too harshly because of it.

Britney Spears was driving on a Louisiana driver's license at the time of the incident that provoked the court case. Since that time, she's upgraded to a California driver's license.

The trial is set for October 15th and will occur in the Van Nuys court.
